Join us for a rare look at ballparks overseas, as well as a New Zealander's perspective on U.S. parks
If you'll be in the Phoenix area on October 10th, you'll want to attend this fast-paced look at the ballparks here and abroad.

Baseballparks.com's webmaster Joe Mock will act as emcee, bringing you two outstanding speakers -- one to give you the U.S. perspective on ballparks overseas, and the other to give you the perspective of someone from overseas on U.S. ballparks.
Noted ballpark traveler Brian Moore will provide a look at the numerous baseball stadiums and fields he's visited in Europe, Asia and Latin America (that is, "over there"). Then Peter Grigg, whose home is in New Zealand, will describe his ballpark experiences as he's traveled around North America ("over here") this summer. He's writing extensively about his trek to see all of the big league parks, and those essays will end up in a book.
You won't want to miss this fascinating, one-of-a-kind presentation! It will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10th in Surprise, Arizona.
If you have questions about the program, feel free to send me an e-mail, or post a comment below. There is no admission charge, but donations to the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will be welcomed.
The event in Surprise is hosted by the Sun City Grand Sports Interest Group. We'll be in the Agua Fria Room of The Cimarron Center, which is located at 17100 West Clearview Blvd., Surprise, AZ 85387, just a couple of miles from the Rangers' and Royals' spring-training complex. Their phone number is (623) 975-5646. See you there!
